If you have a concern regarding a young person and their safety, please call the Children’s Advice Duty Service (CADS) on 0344 800 8021.
Leaflets on these topics can be found outside the safeguarding office and in the meetings room opposite main reception if required or visit the linked websites.
The Stop It Now campaign Helpline is available for anyone with concerns about child sexual abuse.
Online safety
Our top 10 online safeguarding tips:
1. Have conversations about internet safety from a young age.
2. Lead by example.
3. As your child about the apps and websites that they use.
4. Set boundaries but be realistic.
5. Reassure your child that they can always talk to you.
6. Talk about their disclosure of personal information.
7. Talk about social media.
8. Talk about their use of gaming.
9. Talk about cyber bullying.
10. If your child has been a victim or is the perpetrator of online grooming, sexting, online bullying or sending, receiving and distributing sexual images don’t panic! Keep all messages sent and received, report this to the police on 101, then report to the school safeguarding team on 01553 773606 ext 255 or ext 292
